This is just a simple poll to hear from the members whether they would like to do podcasts for the site. As mentioned on the Mad Radio board, I would be open to hear what people would think about this aspect of the forum. I am researching sites for podcast hosting if this is a possibility. So, don't only vote; voice your concerns on this subject.

I certainly would like seeing them, I think it would be a great addition to this forum, MAD is glad to provide anything to them, including airtime if you or any other members record segments onto it.

I think it would be a great addition to the forum. And I would love for members to participate in not only cutting them for the forum, but for Mad Radio as well. But, this is still in the planning stages right now because I am trying to research how it is done and what you need to do in order to place it on your site. In the coming days, I am going to post this issue in Proboards support and see what they have to say over there. If more people say that they would like to do podcasts here, I will be very open to finding a host for our podcasts as well as promoting them. Once there is a set number of people who would like to be involved in making podcasts to post for the forum, then, I will put together a page in order to help people in making this. And if this is popular, I would be welcome to appoint any people who would like to oversee this aspect of the forum as well. As the summer comes, this might be a great possibility in order for community participation along with discussing the latest issues on the forum. So keep on contributing your insights on this matter. I would also like suggestions on how this would be done.

Here's the latest skinny on podcasts: 1)I submitted a post to the Proboards forum on this subject. Craig wrote me some specific details about how podcasts are implemented on the forum: a)He said that podcasts cannot be put within posts because that would require HTML code. And in posts, we only use UBBC coding. b)Podcasts can be put in the Headers/Footers of specific boards. 2)I am shopping for Podcast hosts that will allow members to submit their podcasts there. There are a few that seem rather fine in this matter, but I would like to research the specifics before making a conscious decision about where to host what we record. Announcements will be posted in a little while. 3)Once we locate a specific host for the podcasts, then there will be guidelines and a "How-to" that members can follow so they can make their own, submit it and have a place where they can discuss the podcasts in detail. 4)I am still looking for more member participation in this matter. So, keep on posting your comments and suggestions so that we can decide what to do in the future.

Sure, I would do PODCast. Sounds like it would be fun. Although I'm not sure what my topic would be, but I would most certainly do one. ;D

Thank you guys so far for your comments. I am especially happy that everyone wants to do this. However, I will have a decision shortly on how to put our podcasts together online. This is what I am thinking about. You can also interject if you see something you can add your .02 about: 1)I am looking for a host with good or unlimited bandwidth that can house our podcasts. 2)This host would allow each member just to type in a community password and upload their podcasts. So far, the hosts I have checked out are for individuals who solely want to record and upload their podcasts. 3)Of course, this service would be free of charge for everyone. 4)Once this host would be found with all the specifications, the podcasts would be linked from there to a table on the main page where guests and members alike can click on the podcasts and listen to them. Or, they can click on the site and download them from there. 5)Once the host is found and the service is set up, then, there will be a board (Arghhhh, I know, another board )where the podcasts can be found on the forum where guests and members alike can comment on them and discuss them when they arise. The main problem here is how to do that. And I am very grateful for the suggestions made here and through PM's about where to go. Right now, I am focusing on the logistics of how this is going to be done. I am still looking for more suggestions or links to sites where I can look to see how other groups have convieniently put their podcasts together for community and internet use, if you have them. Once, I am able to research these sites and check the Terms of Service, then, I'll be able to give you a definite decision what we're going to do. Thank you all so much for being patient as well as your involvement in this issue. We will have our podcasts. However, my concern is that we do our podcasts and host them the right way so that there will be few problems. So, bear with me and keep those suggestions coming!
