Well, it seems that the Radio jock, Don Imus put his foot in his mouth again. When I read the story, I could not believe what he said. Although the purveyors against "political correctness" will come out on the side of Mr. Imus' freedom to make the remarks, I wonder if he did cross the line.
Here is an excerpt of the article from the New York Times. It is quite a read:
I think that Mr. Imus' comments come under the same guise as Michael Richards' tirade against the Black patrons of his comedy show.
What do you guys think about this? And how do we make sense of conscience and empathy regarding descriptions of other people versus First Amendment Rights?

Update
It seems that NBC has had its hands full with the Don Imus furor. After the press conference held by the Rutgers Women's basketball team, several major companies have dropped their endorsements of Imus' radio show. Without any money to support the program, it seems that Mr. Imus has more to worry about than just being on a "two week hiatus".
In this context, what does everyone think?

New Update
It seems that both NBC and CBS fired Don Imus yesterday over the comments expressed on his radio show. Furthermore, Mr. Imus and his wife met with the Rutgers Women's Basketball team Thursday. The Coach of the team told interviewers that the "talks were productive" and that Mr. Imus allegedly appeared "remorseful". The pastor, of the Coach's church, (and moderator of the discussion) allegedly said that the talks were very tearful.
Furthermore, the Coach and the team accepted Mr. Imus' apology.
What does everyone think about this?
